Practitioner Qualifications

At the Back Pain Centre Sunderland our practitioners hold the following qualifications:

Osteopaths
Osteopathic training consists of a four or five year degree course and graduates are required by law to register with GOC (General Osteopathic Council) and have adequate medical malpractice insurance.

Chiropractors
Chiropractic training consists of a four or five year degree course and graduates are required by law to register with The GCC (General Chiropractic Council) and have adequate medical malpractice insurance.

Physiotherapists
Chartered Physiotherapists undertake degree courses at University studying full-time for three or four years. In the UK, all physiotherapists have to be registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) (www.hpc-uk.org)

Massage therapists
Our Massage therapists are registered with ITEC. ITEC are UK government accredited by the Office of the Qualifications and Examination Regulator (OFQUAL), on behalf of the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS), and are registered on the National Qualifications Framework in the UK.
